IM FRUSTRATED,ANGRY, PISSED OFF, AND SAD!!!

I had an accident last Thursday, dont worry, all is fine, still one piece, some A** just decided to cross the red light, and boom, i was the vitctim of his negligence! My poor parents are stuck driving me to, and from work!

Yesterday i had to make them wait a little bit, was handed work at the last minute... so they switched on the radio, Libya FM, and listened to this "Sheikh" ramble on!

I JUST HATE WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO ISLAM, THEY ARE ABUSING EVERYTHING ISLAM STANDS FOR!!!

so here's this a**'** "fatwa":

1-A woman should never do ANYTHING without her husband, when he comes home, and goes to sleep, she should stop everything she's doing and go to sleep as well, she shouldn't sit infront of the tv with her kids and watch tv with them, damn the kids , she should rush to her husband وتنخمد معاه!!!

2- She should ask for his permission in EVERYTHING, even when she goes to pray. She must ask him "Dear husband, please excuse me, but can i go and pray?"

what the F****!!!!!!!

3- According to Sharee3a, if the wife is widowed, and has no kids, she's not entitled to anything but what al sharee3a states. If she was to be homeless and his family asked for the house, they can have the house, and she has to
"اتدبر امورها لانو الشريعة تنص على ذلك "

4- I SWITCHED OFF THE DAMN RADIO COS I COULDNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE!

I understand, totally understand that there are things Al sharee3a states, but then again, الدين سماح، معاملة،رفق،سلام not what this "sheikh" is saying!

so if a widow, who spent her life with her husband, sharing with him her life, her love, has to اتدبر امورها ??? she's just simply kicked out? What are WE slaves? sub-servants?Inferior?Secondary? Our mere existance is to fulfill man's every yearning sexual, emotional, spiritual desire? Is that what we are on this earth for!?! IS THAT WHAT ISLAM SAYS???IT DOESNOT!!! IT DOES NOT!

SO WHY ARE THEY MUTILATING IT? WHY?

you wanna hear latest "Fatwas" as well, some Saudi "Sheikh" حرم Barbies, why??? because when he felt up the doll whose made for 5 years olds, it turned him on, it enticed him, why? Because apparently Barbie's plastic made body resembles that of a woman's(DUH), so its 7aram to buy any barbies لانها تثير غرائز الرجل !!!!

WHY WAS HE FEELING A BARBIE??? WHAT ELSE DOES HE TOUCH THAT TURNS HIM ON??? WHO IS HE TO يحرم و يخلل?! AND since when has it become such a normal, day-to-day chore for someone to simply يحرم و يحلل? I honestly dont get it anymore??

please do notice that the previous "fatwa" and the next one are sexually related!

Now here's another "Fatwa" for you:

If a guy is sitting in a cafe, and he leaves, then a woman sits in the same place right after he leaves, when his chair or seat is still warm its considered "zina" cos "sexual intercourse" has taken place! As the woman sat right in the man's warm seat?!!!!

I AM GOING CRAZY!

WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO???

Islam, my condolences...

    7amdilla 3la slamtek ya Romana :)

Every woman has the right to reject the imposed tyrnnay and the lies of these 'sheiks'.. loudly and clearly.. and I am proud that you did :)

just please beware to fall into the trap they want you to fall in, i,e, meet their ignorance with ignorance and meet their venom with venom.. but meet it with understanding.. the Quran Al Kareem is for all to read, and it never was the monopoly of men..

Islam deserves no condolences... so called muslims do...

    salam sis

    Thank you Mani :)

Islam, my condolences, to me wasn’t because i think Islam is dead, it isn’t, we are Muslims, we are still alive, and there are good Muslims out there that’s keeping what Islam truly stands for alive, i only console Islam for how some "sheikhs" portray it, and the oblivious people who follow every words they say, that’s what i console, the illiteracy of their souls.

I agree with mani that so called Muslims deserve condolences.

many of these sheikhs make their own fatwas and tafseer of our great religion, I even once heard that wearing jeans is haram!! where in the Quran does it say that??
most of these sheikhs are Paedophiles that enjoy feeling dolls and kids and are full of guilt that they just make things up, ignore them, thats what I do as I am so fed of people telling its hara to wear this, its haram to watch Power Rangers, its haram to take pictures, its haram to enjoy life with my kids!!

what is haram i think is giving these people the opportunity to spread their venum.

thanks romana and sorry for the long commen :o)

Thank you for the long comment, although after Mani, nothing is long! lol Mani I love your comments, no offence intended, just a matter of comparison, i enjoy ur comments, and replying, im resuscitating my dead brain cells with you! So thanks

Anglo-Libyan, you do have a point, it is haram to waste our time listening to them, but what scares me the most are those people who do listen, and apply everything they listen… and the ratio of bad to good is devastatingly increasing!

First of all i would say "Al-7amid lil-allah 3ala salamtik" and then i would go to say "I feel sorry for your parents for having to take you to work and back as it must disrupt their day but that a parent"

i disagree with all of you, As neither Islam nor muslims are dead and al-hamid lillah Islam is on the rise and allah will not let his religion fall

I would not say he is wrong or right but i would ask this shiek to back his fatwa's with Quarn & HADEETH and show me where is Isnad is from and then and then only would I pass judgment on the shiek himself

Romana, Regarding the "Widowing" stuff, I think if you have a friend who is a layer in libya they could probably shed more light on this issue

why is it so easy for us to say he is a "bad" person and he is a "terrible" person and he is an "extremist" or "terrorist" and why are we so good in pointing fingers to that and that why? we are so jugmental that sometimes come accross as blind people to our own faults, Try to always analyze situations and dont just let your emotions take over and think (PS: ROMANA this in not aimed towards ur self but just general)

I understand ur frustration and the reason behind is ill management of a great religion

Ahmed bro, i understand your frustration as well, 3andik 7ag filli goltah... bs ahmed, u can see for urself, that Good Muslims are becoming the lesser population, thats a fact.

As for the sheikh with the Hadeeth back up, or Quraan, ahmed, bro, some of them make Fatwas with hadeeth to back them up, only they clip the part they want from the hadeeth or Quraan to back them up, but the fact is, if their Fatwa is sensless, nothing will back them...

Ahmed, men marry, 2, 3, 4 wives, because they supposedly have the Quraan to back them up, why? cos they simply clip it, bs if they continue to the rest of the Aya, u will find "و لن تعدلو" , so if Allah SWT said so, will the mere mortal يعدل؟؟؟ and thats shway o shwayaat Ahmed as an example of cases backed up with the holy Quraan!

    Thanks for sharing

exactly Romana.. someone who knows wha theyre talking about.. and since everyone has delegated the responsibility of understanding the Quran Al Kareem to a set of Goons, and reserved themselves to follow what these goons said.. then we are gonna stay in the same hole....

on the conrary ahmed.. those who take these things emotionally are those who dont bother to read/understand for themselves and rather opt to have confidence in the word of MEN (as a species not as a bany adam) whom they follow purely based on EMOTION..

and I still dont know what u exactly disagreed with....

and 3adl is not equality.. 3adl is justice....

lets pay atention to the words if we are serious about understanding our predicament rather than just adding our voices to the noise..

Im sorry to sound harsh but you know me well and i intend no personal injury.. my 3'adba is for my deen.. and you know my position cause we talked about it til the early hours of the morning :)

Ahmed, I just wanted to point out that my comment where I agreed with mani says that:
"I agree with mani that so called Muslims deserve condolences"

it wasnt general for all Muslims but for the extermists that play with our religion and cause trouble, thats why they were referred to as So called Muslims :o)

of course our religion is more stronger but proper Muslims need to stand out against the others, keeping quiet and saying nothing which is unfortunately what most of us are doing now is not helping, we need to stand for our religion and show the world that we are not going to take a back seat while the minority is causing a lot of damage. I do respect your stand for the goodness of our Islam.

Sorry for the delay went out for lunch today :) ……………. Nice coffee and Panini at Costa Coffee :)

Mani: I would revise your sentance with the word "Goons" as a "Goon" is (A thug hired to intimidate or harm opponents) or (A stupid or oafish person) and these "Goons" are the people who have read and analyzed the QUARAN and SUNNA (whether you trust the source of the sunna or not) and from that they base their judgments, So why did i ask for their sources? as once you have their sources you can independently verify the authentication and the validity but one of the main things of the Quran is the strength of the language that not everyone may understand and that is where this Sheiks come into play plus some quotes in the Quran over lap so with limited knowledge a "normal" person can misread it (for example how Alcohol was banned, as the first Aaia was just to avoid alcohol while praying and then came the total banishment)

    Fe Aman Allah

  22. mani says:
    July 5, 2007 at 3:31 p.m.

thank you for the clarification ahmed and I am still happy that you have vindicated my use of Goons and that is still stands, as most of these 'sheikhs' are instruments of a POLITICAL ideology (i.e religion, which is as different from DEEN as the world is different from the sky) and are therefore hired and paid by political establishments to preserve he current status quo.. no??.. so therefore regardless of whether they see themselves or he misguided who take heir word at face value as angelic and steadfast men of peace, their ugly face is for all to see. Just wait until one of them starts medling in your own personal life with someone you LOVE for real.. then well see how you can deal with the contradictions...

on another note, I laughed when you said that you would ask them for their evidence and isnad etc etc etc.. who are we to know the isnad and all that malarky. isnt it their job.. so thn you would be questioning their EXPERTIESE.... which would naturally mean that we simple people have no right to ask for their EVIDENCE cause of course.. they have all teh vidence. hey are he specialists.. we could ask and debate all we want but regardless the final word we will have to be with them cause they know more than us right.. how do u expect to question ther evidence when you have already acceped heir use of teh evidence and their 'expertiese'...

im rambling and this could be said much much better with zillions of examples.. I just dont bother citing the examples cause people here on teh blogs wouldnt really care and wating time is not something I like doing.

is alcahol haram???.. it says so in the quran.. so what is exactly your question???... isnt it plain simple and clear???.... or are we loking for exempt clauses and stuff..

cause if we are .. we are not looking for Deen.. we are looking for a way to decieve deen in favour of some donya wants isnt it....

Im talking concepts and not specific people.. if people cant come to terms with their own hypocracy its their problem.. Allah swt is between us on Judgement Day..

salam bro and know I love you fe Allah..

Romana.. Hold steadfast to the Quran Al Kareem .. if you expect to find objective words in the sayings of MEN or heir books then you are starting a journey billions have started before you and God only knows thir destiny...

    :) Mani

You are so within your own ideology that you contradict yourself, on one hand you say that our basis is Quaran (note i accommodated you mistrust of the sources of Hadith) and then you question the source of these Fatwa's which in your own words ultimately goes back to the Quaran? why dont we call these so called "Goons" a map/navigation instead, you can follow a map from A to Z or you can stray and take a turn left and take the next Znga right and then find Z in the end but Z will remain the same or will it not?

We can go on and on and on for hours but I will agree to disagree with you and again stay up ALL night and argue about this and then I will sleep in the office AGAIN :P (did i not tell you i slept in the office that day) anyway although you used harsh words but i wont .........

Mani, A_akak, pheeww, that was quite an interesting debate to read... interesting point of views both of u.. did any reach an agreement?

Mani, thats why i needed a recommendation, cos iknow i will keep getting detours to the source that im looking for...

I am sticking to the Quraan, but i dont understand all of it...just as ahmed wrote, "one of the main things of the Quran is the strength of the language ".. and i am from the "simple people " as u wrote...

btw Mani, i totally agree with u on ur 1st paragraph, "these 'sheikhs' are instruments of a POLITICAL ideology " i was chatting to my mom today, and i was telling her, those Fatwas must be influenced by something and someone, just as it was with the Church, why do they have more than one testament? keeps getting updated with time? its not a software, its a religion... im not comparing Islam to Christianity, but something similar is happening, the Fatwas are influenced by THEM, just as the bible has been change to accommodate THEIR decisions...

THEM and THEIR belong to the same species of people , who u labelled as “Goons” who are the instruments of the “POLITICAL ideology”

    take care all

    Salam Romana,

So sorry to hear about your accident, but alhamdullilah you are well.

Now with respect to these Fatwas you shared, do you really see them as a problem? Oh sister I embrace them wholeheartedly like the smell of rotten eggs on a hot summer day.

    Oh dear me!

Does anyone believe in having a personal relationship with Allah? I do not mean this in any disrespectful manner. I believe Allah loves us so much, wants to give us everything, wants us to know him, not from an ogre point of view, not from a cynical tyrant sitting high above in an unreachable fashion to only point a fire stick at us and burn us at will? No, I believe Allah loves us far greater, far more personal, far more intimately. We claim to love Allah, then lets love Allah……..let’s allow Allah to love us in return. We do this through personal communication, i.e., praying, meditating, talking to Him, sitting calmly and quietly embracing the moment, giving thanks for all things, being in nature, etc. There are so many ways in which Allah allows us to connect with him, but we seem to make it far more complicated and difficult in doing so, and therefore miss the most incredible opportunity. However, thankfully for us Allah is patient, loving and kind and will continue to always connect with us even if it means we mess up those wonderful opportunities. Live in our hearts……feel with our hearts…….. chose unconditional love………….Allah will be right there waiting. We are the ones that need to make the move towards Allah, not the other way around. Allah also gave us our brains to think, so lets not let our brains go to waste by merely assuming what others say we should or shouldn’t do. We will each stand before Allah one day to be judged, and no one---I mean no one will be there as our attorney, spokes person, or otherwise---not even these scholastically achieved individuals…………it will just be one-on-one with Allah, which means no finger pointing at who said what or who did what, but looking at the three fingers we have pointed back at ourselves---and at that very moment be very honest with our accounts. I wonder, just wonder, if we will be asked “what did you do to get closer to know ME (Allah swt) in a real and personal way?”

hey all, i hope you had a lovely weekend :)

i would like to clarify one thing, :), i loved ur comments, all of u, all the sharing , i truly loved it... my source is the Quraan, alhamdulilah, but the Quraan isnot very simple to understand, im not linguisticly capable of understanding every Soora. I noticed that most of you guys thought that i was distracted by what i heard on Libiya FM, and i was, because there are a lot of imbecile people in this world, which unfortunately make a majority, that pollute the minds of so many people who lack plain common sense... the more there are "Sheiks" like those, the more lives will be oppressed, and more women suppressed...
I mentioned in my post how they are mutilating Islam, and that none of this so called "sheikh" has uttered relates to the true meaning of Islam... and thank you all for sharing once again. :)

A_akak, thanks bro, and yea, reading different point of views is important, helps in understanding one another, and the dept of our thoughts.. :)

Highlander, thank you for visiting my post, my honour :)
Yes, it was on Libiya FM, precisely, last Wednesday, around 5:30 to 6, cos that was the time i left from work... it is scary!

krekma; thanks for the advices, that is exactly what i hold dear to my heart, dont worry :)

rodrigo; im sorry, but i dont understand spanish!!!!

Ibee, thanks for the generous comment o allah ysalmik, got my car today!! yeppiie!... im with u all the way, and looool 3ala "Oh sister I embrace them wholeheartedly like the smell of rotten eggs on a hot summer day." thats a lot to embrace! lol

Ibee, im sure since u live abroad, you get to hear and see more than i do, about such topics, which hardened you towards such silly claims... as for me, it gets to me every time, i hate the way women are portrayed, they are enslaved, and they are broadcasting it for the whole country to hear as "the right thing to do by Islam" .. i gets me every time how they use Islam to support their cases... im speaking about it, because i wanted to shed some light on the illiteracy that we are facing...

Thank you so much Ibee for your advice, I will hold it dearly and closely to my heart :) Allah Bless you and your little girl Amira, and your family :)

LovelyHibo, Allah y7'aleek, ani m3ak fi kol kalma golteeha, حسبنا الله و نعما الوكيل فيهم يل هبو .

Well I didn't want to comment because the topic boils down to what I posted about a few weeks ago and thats how the comments worked out :). You kind of summed up my opinion in what you said here :

"my source is the Quraan, alhamdulilah, but the Quraan isnot very simple to understand, im not linguisticly capable of understanding every Soora"

Even a lot of scholars aren't capable and they have to rely on the Tafsir, Hadeeth and old poetry that still hold the original meanings of the Arabic words and the Historical context of the Ayaa's. Arabic as a language has come a long way and it seems a bit simplistic to me to go around reading the Quran literally with our current understanding of the language. I know a number of friends who have pursued the field of Sharia and they have spent more than 4 years just reading an equivalent to post graduate Arabic and even then they say " Allah a3lem" so I wouldn't venture into issuing fatwas or saying what is Haram or not .... I would quote those I agree with and deem reliable though :D.

Another aspect that is usually overlooked is that you can't issue an opinion based on one Sura or Ayaa alone you have to go through the whole Quran to make sure that your understanding of that Ayaa doesn't contradict with another Ayaa ..... it would be prefered you know the Quran by heart pretty well :).

    salaam
