do you mean video from sites such as Youtube?
if it is videos on your PC then I dont think you can post them here, upload them to youtube first then its an easy matter of just embedding the video in your post.

If you want to post a video from Youtube. On the right of the video ( in youtube ) you will find two boxes one with "URL" and one with "Embed" copy the code in the "Embed" box . Then in the post ( inside blogger ) instead of "Compose " choose "Edit Html"
and paste it there ... then paste the code from "Embed" into the "Edit Html" section voila you have a video in your post. If you return to the "Compose" tab and press preview you can see it :).

Yes, but you have to make a use account first and then you can upload it; but I have to tell you don't upload anything personal :).

"u dont know my name, lol, why would i post something personal! lol"
By upload I meant upload to youtube and not necessarily post to your blog. I mean even if you're not going to post it to your blog don't use youtube as a method of sharing personal videos with friends or family, there are other methods if you want ...... :)

Salam,
Ok what are the other methods. I have some video of Amira I want to be able to post to my blog, but if youtube isn't the way to go, which would be the best method?
July 31, 2007 at 3:16 p.m.
Ahh ..... other methods are for sharing in private :p not on the internet I'm totally against sharing private things on the internet :).
But if you are going to post it on your blog then you are putting it in the public domain so it wouldn't make any difference if you used youtube or not.
You could download winrar ( a compression software with encryption capability ) and encrypt the video with it then post the encrypted file on sendspace.com, then post the password on your blog that way only those who know your blog and have the link to the file can download it and see it .... you should make the password long though ..... thats how I do :).

lool Ph, i got you the 1st time :)
thanks, but i know that if something is to be posted, or uploaded on youtube, it wont be personal anymore :) im not THAT clueless lol :P
July 31, 2007 at 3:54 p.m.
Ok, so if I go to winrar, it will give me instruction on encrypting the video? Then go to sendspace.com and upload the encrypted video? Where do I post the password on my blog? Does this mean bloggers would have to type in the password in order to see the video or rather receive some sort of approval authorization in order to view it?

youtube actually has the option of keeping your video Private, you choose that during the upload process.

yea? thanks,, but i guess uploading on youtube has something to it!
thanks though :)

@ ibeebarbie :
Sorry for taking so long to reply I was out all morning yesterday :) .
So with regards to winrar its a compression software you download and use from your computer, not from the internet here is the softwares homepage and here is a direct link to download it from.
After downloading and installing the software all you have to do is right click on the video and choose the option "Add to archive..." then you will get a dialog box with many options, which you don't change. To encrypt the archive press the "Advanced" tab at the top of the Dialog box. Then click the "Set password.." button you will be presented with another dialog box asking for the password and a confirmation of it. Enter the password of your choice and click "OK" . Then click "OK" again in the main Dialog box and viola you will find the compressed encrypted video beside the original one :D .
Then go to sendspace.com enter the email you want to use with it ( preferablly not your personal one ) and choose browse and choose the encrypted video file then agree to the terms of service agreement ( check box at bottom ).
When you put your email in sendspace.com they will send you an email with a link to the file you uploaded apart from displaying it on the page after the upload so post that link on the post you want to use and put the password there too so we can decrypt it after we download it from your blog .
And that way only the people who frequent your blog get to see the video :) . after a while you can remove the password from the post if you want, so nobody else sees it.
P.S. everybody else will have to download winrar to decrypt it, its only 3MB and everyone should have it anyway so provide a link to it as well :P.
